What: T's Thoughts

A daily-posted graphic (posted on T’s locker) which originated from the idea that freedom of speech gives students the power to share ideas in new and unconventional ways. Its goal is to brighten the stressful days of high school students through short, humorous, and outside-of-the-box-thinking statements, surrounding the idea that all it takes is a sentence to make a positive difference in people’s lives.

The good and the bad

In a future dystopian society... pain has been eliminated by channeling all negative physical and emotional energy into a single host, who spends every waking moment in utter agony, absorbing every moment of pain from every inch of the planet. But when the machine that holds him suddenly malfunctions, and he is mistakenly released into the world, he must learn to live a life without constant pain, while the rest of society has to deal with suddenly feeling again.
In a future dystopian society... society has become so engrossed in screens that the human need to stimulate the pleasure sensors of the brain has led most of the population of earth to hooking up their entire bodies to virtual reality units, where they live out their days playing virtual games and eating food without any consequences while their physical bodies are left suspended in hypersonic rest that renders them essentially immortal. The rest of the population, those who couldn't afford the procedure, died off soon after the last few entered the machines. The safeguard comes in the form of a few cloned scientists who were left behind to monitor the machines and prevent malfunctions. They are left in pods scheduled to open up periodically. However, when one boy's machine malfunctions and he wakes up in the real world, he discovers that everything has not gone as planned. A virus is quickly spreading through the network and could put everyone's lives in jeopardy. Aided by one of the mechanics, he tries to stop the virus before it can wipe out the entire population of earth.
In a a future dystopian society (Gee, is it just me or do a lot of my ideas seem to start this way? :3)where superpowers appear in children in the form of raw energy, young kids are rounded up and brought to a secretive facility where they are trained to use their powers in preparation for a televised graduation duel. The losers mysteriously disappear, while winners are sent of to the "The Camp". No one outside of the camp knows what goes on their, but I'll give you a hint: it has something to do with an alien war.
In a book which ponders creation, death and reincarnation are actually a thing designed and facilitated by an unknown alien race. But after one man dies and finds himself a baby who is fully conscious and can recall his past life (and even begins to remember previous ones), all that he knows is threatened.
Another anecdote on creation: a world where heaven is no more than a market between lives, where the rich and poor buy out their life timelines, sacrificing intelligence for luck, or looks for money. But what lengths will some go to to buy the perfect life?
A young witch living in New York falls in love with a black cat who's more than he appears.
